On Saturday, October 18, 2008 the family, friends and community are pulling together to do a fundraiser for Angel Fowler Wolf. Angel is twenty one years old and graduated from Gainesville High School. She was injured in a car accident on March 2, 2008. Angel went through five surgeries within the first fifteen days of her hospital stay. She lost her place to live because she needed twenty four hour care while in a wheelchair. In June of this year Angel started walking much sooner than expected. She did not have medical insurance at the time of the accident. Angel still requires routine test such as x-rays and cat scans and also Dr. visits. Each Dr. visit or test is cash upfront because of not having insurance. The next cat scan will show if another surgery is even feasible now or if she will require an upper extremities specialist to fix her left arm.

How can you help? Visit the website. Learn about the fundraiser. There are lots of ways you can help! We are contacting local businesses and individuals in hopes of getting volunteers for the fundraiser and/or donations for the activities. The fundraiser as I mentioned will be on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Gainesville Leonard Park in Gainesville, Texas. It will include live bands, food, raffles, and carnival type games with prizes for kids of all ages. Come support the Angel Fowler Wolf Benefit and our community and bring your family and friends out for a great time.
