Welcome to Speed Racer, the Web Site!

Speed Racer, the Web Site is created by my hand and is dedicated to the original 1967 classic television series that was adapted from Mach Go Go Go. Any Speed-related topic can be discussed on the forum. Any questions and comments are welcome that pertain to the series and other Speed Racer projects. This year has a new Speed Racer film and animated television series that will be arriving in May. The rules of this forum are simple. Be nice and do good for others and they will do good for you. Speed and Racer X would have it no other way. That's about it. Look forward to seeing you here!

I know one guy named Coolidge that would have loved this site. For some reason I think he is looking down at you and smiling today! :):)

Hi Jason!

I thank YOU for finding my Speed Racer website! There's nothing like having a great group of dedicated fans to gather together to discuss something they have a passion for. I'd had thought about building a SR site, but I was working on others since 2000 that are well-known. I've had those long days and hours in and around it all. I thought, just one more I'm going to do and it's gotta be Speed Racer. It has so much depth, heart and a special place in my heart. I hadn't watched the show in several years, but managed to buy all the DVDs on the first day they came out. It was time and I got in there and did it all. I had some very emotional moments at times. I felt good again. It was easy to match all the actors to the characters as I grew up with the show and later on VHS.

I took the 2001 dvd set as "work discs" and had to go through 52 episodes to do the voice-character listings. I did them in a few different sequences for the listings. The main characters I'd list first. The bad guys and other characters I had to do as they would first appear in their screentime. Only speaking roles. In another case, I'd have to list some minor characters out of sequence that I'd missed the first time around or if I thought they were minor characters. Some characters didn't have names in the US version, so I'd give them names that were correct. And I wanted the listings to really look good and was always on cue for the narrator and announcers voiced in by Jack Curtis. It was FUN!

I discovered your terrific site only yesterday at work during lunch. It's great to know that there are others who are as passionate about this finest of all animated teleseries as I have been since the first grade! GOOD JOB!!
