It's that time of year again! 2009 Athens Marathon and Half Marathon is on Sunday, April 5th at 9 a.m.!!! Enter the most runner friendly race in the Midwest! This year we have added chip timing to assure the accuracy of your results--great finishing medals, age group prizes, post race food & beverage, finish line food for participant's friends supplied by the Army National Guard, long sleeve turtle neck shirts, aid stations with Gatorade/Water/Fruit, medical staff/radio staff for your safety, AND MORE! All for a $35 entry fee before March 15 and $40 after March 15. Enter on-line or download an application at www.athensmarathon.org. Saturday April 4th packet pickup also features all you can eat pasta dinner (meat sauce and vegetarian sauce available) with bread, beverages, and dessert for only $10. The proceeds go to West Elementary School PTA. More information is available on our website. Don't miss out on the race designed to make you, the runner, have a great experience.
