Subject: Master Mike comes clean

First, I was not spanked as a child or adolescent, nor were my siblings. I witnessed one spanking in my pre-teen years (described in http://www.voy.com/137889/ the post title is Childhood memories, long & detailed.).

I feel spankings can change kids' behavior, but not from learning or moral development. Instead, the motivation is fear. I don't think it should be done and I realize many here will disagree with me - that's what a forum is about.

I'm not one to equate all parental spankings with abuse, and I sure respect those with different opinions, particularly kids in their late teens or adults who have different feelings about their own punishments.
