I believe it would be much more effective in curbing behaviors in adults than in children, even for us spank-os. All children understand is that someone is hitting them and it hurts and its down right frightening. Adults understand that this is a direct consequence of their careless actions and something they would likely wish to avoid.

I prefer Pork fried rice and St. Paul sandwhiches and low mein. Im for the most part vegetarian with all glories to Sri Krsna. I eat very little meat, especially since being set free from the tethers that bound. My kids like chicken and occasional beef so I fix it for them once in a while.

The other day at my complex a woman held down an 11 year old girl I know from the school I work at while I was talking to her mom. She gave her about 15-20 good smacks on her butt, not sure why, playing I guess but they were good swats. Now, look, Im not a pedophile but its not every day you witness a spanking, so I had to watch. I certainly didnt get anything sexual from it. but if anything I can only shake my head at a society that condones that. I have never been able to understand birthday spankings. Why on earth would adults feel the need to spank a kid on their birthday and feel that its o.k. to do so? My sons 12th birthday was yesterday and I am having a bar-b-q in his honour Saturday. There certainly wont be any spanking going on.
Last summer at the drive inn theatre on the playground one other girl, then 9, who I know from the school happened to be there. She was behaving very well I thought and I heard her mother say "Do you want me to embarrass you right here in front of every one?" I felt horrible for the poor thing.
