Very well said, Alan, especially the section quoted below. A handspanking is a very good place to experience the meeting of doninance and submission and the close relation between pleasure and pain.

You can always find a partner's pleasure/pain threshold (or show him or her how close they are in sensation):

Gently play with your partner's erectile tissue, say a nipple or cockhead, rolling it between a thumb and one or two fingers, rubbing the ajdacent breast or shaft occasionally, squeezing occasionally, very gradually increasing the pressure. The pleasure increases until it suddenly switches over to pain.

It's interesting (as well as delightful and arousing) that if you do this gradual build-up, your partner's threshold increase over the reaction you'd get if you crudely began with a hard pinch.

To do the same with a handspanking, begin with the spankee clothed, light taps, then successively remove layers, slightly increasing the force of your slaps. When nudity is achieved, gradually increase, then decrease the force of your slaps. Alternate with some genital play. You'll soon have even a curious beginner enjoying a sexual and emotional experience while accepting more forceful slaps than possible in a typicial punishment spanking without the build up.
