General Info
* I bought and totally renovated both houses in 2004, adding 3 new bathrooms, a new kitchen, living room etc, repainting and restoring the whole lot including the original parquet in the rooms, adding new furnishings, and the full range of electrical appliances etc;

* Nevertheless, they retain their old charm and lend themselves to a cosy but modern large 350 m2 house-share where 6 tenants in each house have their privacy, which is important, while also being able to mix with other nationalities & professions and benefit from reduced bills;

* The houses have four floors each and a cellar and a court-yard;

* If location is your priority, then they are both excellent (near the metro, bus links to the airport and they have two parks and large shopping facilities and plenty of bars/restaurants literally on your doorstep);

* The area is sought-after due to its proximity to all EU Institutions, Embassies, lobbying firms etc. It is a safe, residential area where you also have free parking;

* All rooms come fully equipped and have a double bed, tables, wardrobes, light fittings, duvets, mattress covers etc provided;

* The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances. It is designed for 6 people with maximum storage: a large fridge, a large freezer for weekly shops, a dish-washer, an oven, a micro-wave, a washing machine, a dryer and a common television, plus iron board & iron etc = you save a lot per month on going to the laundrette;

* The house also has a cleaning lady via a professional cleaning services company (a must in any house share).

Transparency on costs
* You pay for what you use - there are no top-ups. Everybody pays their share based on exact usage taken when moving in and out form water, gas and electricity readings. The night-time energy savings system = 50% cheaper after 11 o'clock.

* As the house is set-up, all TV & phone connections are in place etc so you again save quite a bit on initial start-up costs;
