Hi, I'm Lee. I'm a woman and I work in an NGO. I'm subletting my studio as I'm leaving to volunteer for 6 months - and might even be gone longer if next contract takes me where I've got my eye on ;)
So, here's the ad for my cool, independant, little place in Bxl:
Sublet of great little studio located right up the street from the EU Commission and Parlement in high lovely Schaerbeek for 1person or couple (non-smoking pleeease)
1st floor studio in 3 stories building.
Quiet and cosy with only 2 other tenants in building (a master's degree student and a city public officer), clean (just renovated), and super bright!
Ideal subtenant:
- EUCommission/Parlement worker or stagiaire. Or master's degree student
- Man or woman doesn't matter but nice, responsible and chill - 2 neighbors are friendly and respectful and we have a nice ambiance in the building
- Sublet can run from 3 to 6 months renewable depending on the situation as stated above
- Sublet is official: landlord is aware and ok with it - subleter could even have to meet with him; there will be a lease and a deposit required (1 month deposit including amenities for 3 months term, 2 months if longer) and an index of the gaz, water and electricity meters. Amenities price will vary upon consumption (you consum more, you pay more, you consum less, you pay less): amount will be calculated accordingly.
- No registration possible (meaning you cannot register at the commune) as I need for legal purposes to remain the sole tenant listed while I'm gone volunteering
About the place:
- open kitchen equiped with fridge, vitroceramic plate, Senseo coffee machine & milk frother, electric kettle and steam cooker (plus pan, pots, cutlery and the likes of course :)). Shower, sink, toilet (separated by door). Towel set available. Vaccum cleaner.
- semi-furnished with bed (futon on the pictures but Ikea bed with drawers available if you prefer a more conventional bed), bed sheets, pillows and duvet available, dressing with drawers, 5 trunks for storage (3big, 2small) and kitchen bar stool. You can add your own furniture :)
Public transport around the corner (buses 21 airport, 61, 63, 79, N05 night + Villo bikes). Park, big Delhaize and Colruyth, bio shop, restaurants, winery, bars, farmers' market on Fridays with food and drinks until 10pm, mini GB, night shops, library, plus all kinds of shops right around the corner (literally) :)
