Besides the numerous problems with my crown supplier who just NOW informed me that I will not be receiving crowns in time for the pageant, I have also been struggling internally regarding the prizes. It has been my dream to make the CC&BB National pageant an event to remember. One where the contestants and their families will enjoy a fun and stress free weekend of competition, fun and friendship as well as great prizes and an overall exciting experience. This is what we have all come to know and expect from other great pageants in this area. However with such low numbers and the unforseen problems with suppliers it does not look like that will be a possibility at this time. I could try to have the pageant next week, but it makes me sick to think of having a pageant with no crowns and small cash prizes. Therefore I have decided to reschedule the pageant. I know this is a busy time of year for everyone, there are some really great and amazing pageants coming up over the next few weeks and everyone's schedules are full with pageants, holidays and sporting events. Because of this, the Country Cuties and Ballroom Beauties national pageant will now be held the weekend of February 20-22, 2009 at the same location. ALL deposits will be forwarded to that pageant or another CC&BB pageant in the future if you are unable to attend that weekend. I understand that this may cause some inconvenience and I apologize. But I think in the end most will agree it was the better decision to make. And the best news of all.....ALL PRIZES will be guaranteed regardless of numbers! That's right all bonds will be paid! Two winners WILL receive a beautiful pair of diamond earrings and all titles will receive the full amount of money promised. There will be no pro-rating! Again, I apologize for the inconvenience, but my conscience would not allow me to have a pageant without the promised prizes. And I feel that this is the best way, I did not want to do things half way, it is not fair to you or your children. I hope that you can respect the fact that I have been honest and look forward to seeing you all in February at the CC&BB national pageant.
