Tomohiro Honda's 2nd straight start against River City was a much improved effort over his 1st. After he allowed 5 runs to the Rascals back on July 13th in a 6-5 Cook County victory, Honda (2-0) had little trouble last night as he blanked River City 9-0.

Meanwhile, Kendall Prather (3-1) suffered his worst outing of the season as he allowed three first inning runs to Cook County, as two of them came on a homer from Sean Bischofberger, his 5th in 5 games.

John Schmitz also homered for Cook County, a solo shot off of reliever Marc Neubauer in the 4th inning.
