Brian Houdek is leaving and going back to Western Kentucky to finish his degree. It will be a great loss to the Cheetahs both on and off the field. I got to know him just a little this year and always found him extremely fan friendly. Brian I will miss hanging "K"'s as you bang them out. Good luck!!!

Brian is a good pitcher and will be missed. Its sad to see we are losing another Cheetah player.

We had the honor of seeing him pitch not only at home, but in the All-Star Game in Kalamazoo.

Best of Luck Brian!

Brian has meant more than just wins and losses to the Cheetahs - he has been a leader on the field and great to work with off the field. He's always there when we need a player to represent the team in an appearance, and his work with us has been invaluable to the team's success in the community this season.

It's sad sometimes, and this is one of those times, that baseball at our level is such a transitional business. Players, coaches and staff often move on to better things faster than we would like - while their lives are moving ahead, their presence will be missed in Crestwood.

The Cheetahs wish Brian much success in his career both in baseball and in "real life." We cherish his value to the club and appreciate his status as one of the very best people, and less importantly, pitchers, in the Frontier League.

Cook County Cheetahs Baseball Club
