Id like to know what the people here think of the looming baseball strike and if you think it will effect frontier league atendence in the future. If so for better or worse

I herd a rumor that there might not be a team in Crestwood next year, or it mite not be the Cook County Cheetahs can someone tell me if the team is moving? if so wear?

Tonight on the webcast we had Ron a trustee from Crestwood and we were talking about baseball being in Crestwood for quite some time.

The on-field product has not improved as most of us would like to have seen, but the difference between attending a Cheetahs game last year as compared to this year is pretty much night and day. I've been to 10 games this season and other than my kids complaining about baseball bingo going away, the experience has been far superior than in seasons past.
Just from talking to other moms and dads in Oak Lawn, the Cheetahs have more visibility than ever too. The Cubs and Sox just cost too much to take the family there. Many kids are not as enamored of big league baseball as they once were so not seeing the Sox or Cubs isn't as big a disappointment to them. And this is quality baseball, as good as the product in Kane County minus the bonus babies on their roster. So just from what I am hearing, business can be even better next year at the Hawk.
The rumors I've heard of teams folding or moving in the FL come from Canton and Dubois County, where attendance has been awful.
As far as the big leaguers striking, it wouldn't affect attendance at all this year as the proposed strike date falls after the FL season ends. If they went into next year and ran into the start of the FL season, I can't see where attendance would do anything but go up. And if they strike, they will most certainly lose some fans.
I'd like to hear what Chuck has to say, I know he reads this a lot.
