I believe we need a new manager in 2003. This years manager has not done the job even though he had probably the best talent on the field.

With the kind of team he had we should have made the playoff's.

As a host family member I would here a lot of what the players would say and they all agreed that a manager should not only know baseball but has to be a born leader as well and apparently Dana wasn't.

When times where tough you could see him sit on the bench ( at most home games) with his head down as if he was a loser.

This is not the kind of leadership a team needs!

We need a new manager with a aggressive attitude and a desire to win.

I would really like to see the Arks give Brandon Pollard a chance to manage. He was such an exciting player to watch and I think his type of attitude would be great for a team to follow.

Brandon was also a great player and is definatly a fan favourite.

Give the Aussie a go I say.

Thank you

I Agree with you "The Fan"
I'd love to see Brandon as manager of The Cheetahs in 2003, he's always been my favourite, and is a leader in many ways.

What do you say Cheetah Owners and Managers? Brandon would be a great addition and I'm sure could do a much betteur job than I've seen this year on the field.

I don't agree with you guys I been on the field and up close and personal to both the players and the coaching staff. I not just saying this because I'm on the grounds crew but I seen Dana in action and his is intense. Everyone is so quick to judge people by their age and at the beginning I thought the same of Dana. But as I seen what he did as the season went on I started to bite my words. I now can not see anyone else replacing Chad. You have to be open minded about this subject.

I would just like to say that this "Pat" person dosen't know what he is talking about.

Please refesh our memory on the record the cheetahs had under Chad... oh that's right the worst in the league and the worst ever in the history of the Cheetahs.

Before you make a comment please have a think about what you are saying as you don't know what you are talking about.

Lets not make any excuses. The 2002 team definatly had the best talent but they were lacking in management and leadership on the field. This is the job of the manager to bring it all together.

I say bring on the Aussie kid, at least he will have a go!!!

I am just one of the many girls who go and watch the cheetahs play and I think having an aussie guy manage the team would be great.
I had the pleasure of meeting a few of them 2 years ago, becker, whitey, andy and brandon and I thought the were all great.
Brandon would make a great manager as he was so nice and a very confident player.

Aussies rule!!!

I think you are being too harsh on Dana. It cannot be easy to come into a team expecting to play and then receive the challenge of managing. This is a league of growth and a jumping off point into bigger and better things. This means a lot of player shuffling and roster changes, a situation like that must be difficult.

As for not being aggressive and lacking a desire to win, everyone has a different approach to coaching. Just because he does not display a Bobby Knight or Mike Ditka attitude does not necessarily mean he had no desire to win.

I believe Dana had the respect of the players and the rest of the staff. I also feel his record was pretty good for s first time professional coaching job.

Brandon Pollard is also a great guy, but I dont think Dana did that bad a job.
