Linda,

Thank you for the helpful input, please feel free to post more. As far as the Sunday game times, that's something on which we need fan input, and yours helps in making decisions for the 2003 schedule. We'll also look at which game time brought higher attendance, and other factors.

I like the idea of having unique prizes for Launch-A-Ball too.

Thanks again!

Chuck

I have to say that I agree with Linda on the Sunday games. I prefer the 5PM or 6PM Start times on the weekends instead of the 1PM starts. Also Weekday 1PM games are hard for those who can't take off work, but I know they are good for summer camps and village recreation centers, and we try and work around those game times, although sometimes run a little late.

Here's a few of my ideas, for what they're worth:

Maybe in 2003 have a person similar to "Mr. Trash" in Rockford who will come around the aisles around the 8th inning or so with a large garbage bag for people to put
their trash in. It would make cleanup after the games for your staff a little quicker.

Suggestions for T-Shirts: I know there are sleeveless polo type shirts for women with the Cheetahs Logo, but what about the guys? Maybe a mens or unisex tank top with the Cheetah Logo for next year?

Season Ticket Holders: For 2003 possibly special giveaways and drawings just for season ticket holders. Or maybe a drawing for season ticket holders to have a chance to travel to one away game with the team? The pre season picnic with the players is great, and maybe a mid-season or end of season one as well.

There were lots of good things at the park this year, the on-field staff was great and all the staff was friendly and easy to talk to, we had a few problems with Buona Beef throughout the year, but I don't think we were the only ones. Mitch's food and staff were great as always. Customer Service always had a smile and was ready to help out. But I'd have to say my favorite thing are the fireworks nights.

Deb,

Thanks for the suggestions. I think the groundswell for the 5 p.m. Sunday games is growing, though other factors enter into the decision making - the other team's travel needs, things like that.

We did have great success with the two Wednesday day games for summer camp kids, so we can get some day games in that way, we may expand on that. The first one drew 1900 people, that's a hard number to ignore for a Wednesday.

As far as souvenirs, I'll take any suggestions on what people might like. One of the challenges we had this year was that we were sitting on SO MUCH inventory from previous years that we had to get rid of that before we start it over for next year - hence some of the clearance sales that you saw during the year.

I saw Rockford's Mr. Trash, and I like that too - other people do it too, it's a neat thing. Is Bill interested in doing it? :-)

For season ticket holders, we're already working on a few things. Deb, you already know we've reduced full season ticket prices for next year, all holders will get a letter about it this coming week. One thing that someone suggested that we will put in place next year is a giveaway guarantee - if you're a full or half season ticket holder, we'll put aside your giveaway so you will be sure to get it, even if you don't come to the game that day. There are other things we'd like to see that I have to do some research on before we can announce, but those two things are already in place for next season.

As far as trips to other cities, let's work on that, it's a good idea, it just takes time to develop.

Those season ticket holders who are not so happy about some things that happened or didn't happen this year, all we can ask is that you stick with us for 2003, give us a full off-season and let us show you what we can do.

One other thing I would ask is that if someone has a complaint, please.. call me at the office. 708-489-2255. An anonymous message board post is ok, it lets me know what you think, but I'd much rather solve these problems face to face. Also, if someone has a compliment, please use the same number. Those are always appreicated.

Chuck

Added to the earlier message:

One thing to add.. there's a pretty fair shot that the Frontier League is going to add games - the current thinking is 90, up from 84 - for next year. Season ticket holders who renew by September 30 would get the extra games free in their 2003 season ticket package.

I know I had mentioned it to Deb earlier, didn't want the rest of you left out of the loop on that.

Chuck
