What I liked:
- Good food, good prices. OK service.
- Not a bad seat in the park.
- The improved quality of on the field product. Folks, this cannot be minimized. As much as I love baseball and the extras around the park, I am not going to patronize a lousy team. You gotta crawl before you walk and this organization made great strides in getting better talent, and the results reflected that.
- Dizzy bat race. Get rid of dizzy bats, I'm gone!
- Your Honor O'Connor. That guy can be a gas when given free rein. (Well, almost free rein.)
- Ticket promotions with the libraries and schools. Makes it easy for all of us to go to at least two or three games a year. What we saved on admission we spent on food!
- More games in 2003! I always felt that May 25-30 was too late to start a season. The weather usually breaks around mid May and that's when the teams should start play.

I have to add this: I'm not going to gripe about what went wrong this season. Chuck knows perfectly well what that entails and he seems gung ho to correct that. My kids and I would love to see bingo return though. And improve the giveaways, the Quizno's thing in August was disappointing to say the least. I'm not asking for uniforms or bags of food or cash to be used for promotion. How about a Food Item Day? One game would feature a free hot dog, another a free pop. A free bag of peanuts. How about Fan of the Game, a drawing of a particular seat location whereby a decent prize like a concession stand "meal" or a shirt are given out, and the fan is recognized on the dugout?
Chuck, if you use my ideas do I get a hot dog? ;-)

Chuck,

I had 8 season tickets year 1, 10 season tickets year 2, there was no incentive to being a season ticket holder so year 3 we gave them up, figured if we wanted to go to the game we could and have good seats. I was never contacted as to what was up or why was I not renewing. Also, the talent and effort by management wasn't 100%. I gave a list to G.M. Clark of all kinds of ideas and none every came about. This year I attended zero games. I think you did a much better job with the talent I believe it's an uphill battle with the owner. I wish you all the luck but I still believe the big job is providing incentives for season tickets holders and pressing the flesh in the off season to push those sales.
