How many rookies must one team keep?? I see on the roster there are several listed (infield, outfield, a couple pitchers), but also seems to be a lot of veterans coming back, for example in the pitching staff. Any rookies that we know will be around or will be helping? Go Cheetahs!

Josh,

Each Frontier League team has to have a minimum of ten rookies. We are a developmental league with a strict salary cap, so the roster limits we use keep each team on an even playing field, so to speak.

There are a few rookies who should really help us, in particular David Campos.. he qualifies as a rookie in FL terms, but has a proven track record in the Marlins organization. Kris Regas is another, he helped us quite a bit last year toward the end of the season. Other guys like Paul Molitor and Randy Reed and Chuck Pickard should help a lot too, though you never know until you get to camp.

I hope that answers your questions!
Chuck
