Jerry,

First, let me apologize for your inconvenience. There were at least two of us at the office until about 6, and I was there until just after 7 - it's possible the phones were tied up with people calling when you called.

The game was cancelled because the outfield was soaked - the infield had the tarp on, but if we had attempted to dump the water onto the outfield, it would have made the already unplayable conditions worse. At that time, about 5 p.m., the National Weather Service had a forecast of rain through midnight. Given those factors, both managers, our groundskeeper and I made the decision to postpone until tonight - nobody wants to see outfielders tearing up their knees on an unplayable surface.

We tried everything we could to let all of the 1,114 people who pre-purchased tickets for last night's game know it was cancelled. We let the radio stations know and we again manned the phones into the evening. About the recording, I'll do what I can to make that work.

Please find me at a game and I'll do what I can to make this right for you. For now, again, please accept our apologies.
