Drove by the Hawk last week and there was no apparent construction underway. I would imagine they might be looking at plans right now, I am sure the new owners talked about a building before the sale was finalized, but I don't think they would have had enough time to design anything. They might have time to start this year, the weather wouldn't be too cold for masons until mid December or so, maybe later.
There was an allusion in the Southtown story on the purchase to Rhomberg managing the team as well as being the GM and part owner. That might be a bit much to take on, but I would imagine this ownership team would want a full hands-on approach, especially in their first season.
If they are renaming the team, I figured they'd have some sort of contest but haven't heard anything about that.
Seems to me most of the hiring for indy league teams happens after the OB winter meetings?
