- Christmas parade in Antioch, IL -- Anonymous, 16:12:49 11/13/09 Fri [16]
This is a small but very nice parade that is held each year. It goes through downtown Antioch which has lots of vintage shops with beautiful window displays that all all decorated to the T.
After the parade everyone is invite to the Village tree lighting and to visit with Santa.
When: November 27th @ 6:30p.m.
I have not received line-up info as of yet but it is normally at 5:30p.m.
We will plan attire as we get closer and have a better idea of what the weather will be like.

Hi we have several options for our Christmas party this year. So I think we should take a vote!
In the past some things that we have done that were fun were:
Gone ice skating and played in the arcade along with a pizza party at Rinkside sports in Gurnee Mills
Played arcade games and went bowling at Kristoff’s and had a pizza party
Went to dinner at the Golden Corral and went glow in the dark miniature golfing
And the last was super fun and super cheap,
We went on the Polar Express ride, had a huge pot luck dinner, played games and danced, went glow in the dark bowling in our crazy pj’s and then had a sleep over where we played games and watched pageant movies and made slushies and ice cream sandwiches.
The sleep over was held at my house in Round Lake Beach.

We will be starting a clothing food and toy drive on the 27th of November. You can do it anyway you want but Domonique has come up with a great way. All you have to do is ask your local supermarket to donate a case of bags then you put a letter in that has your title and what you are collecting for and when you’ll be back (I will be happy to write one for you) and lastly you just drop the bag and letter on as many doorknobs as you can and come back and collect items on the day you stated in your letter. It’s quick and easy!

How it works is everyone will bring their favorite recipe(s) and ingredients and we all bake together. They at the end of the day we assemble gift boxes and everyone take a box home to be presented to their local fire department.
We always hold a date at my home as well as a few other places for those who do not live close by.

Hello everyone!! Unfortunately my photog friend was already busy the weekend of the Pageant & wasn't able to attend after all, as he was hoping to!! I am here to see if any of you that were @ the pageant would be interested in having a photoshoot done?? My good friend is an awesome photographer & is very artistic in his work!! He would like to still offer to the participants & their families to photograph anyone that would like to have some GREAT professional photos done. He would be coming in from the Detroit, MI area & would need for anyone interested to contact him ASAP to schedule your day/time slot to have your pics done. He's planning on coming to our area on December 4th, 5th, & 6th and will be taking appointed times on Fri, Sat, & Sun. He would need to have atleast 12 people scheduled for him to make the trip to Chicago, but can accept up to 16 max. to shoot. I know that some of you are located in the WI area, so if you like for him to be able to make the trip to your area, or other locations, he will make the trip anywhere to do the photoshoots. It was great to finally meet you from all the emails & phone calls that we had,...all at the last & final moment, somehow we pulled everything together & flew into town by the seat of our pants!! Hi, I just wanted to send out a quick email as I know so many were sick this past weekend. On Tuesday morning my daughter Shelby woke up with a temp of 102.2 and it climbed to 104 that afternoon so we took her to the E.R. and were told she tested positive for flu. We were also informed that it takes a few days to tell if it is H1N1 or not and that they are just assuming it is and using the same treatment (Tama flu).
So with that said, if you are still not feeling well I would suggest you seek medical attention asap. We were also told that it could take on average 3-5 days for symptoms to show so if you are just now becoming sick also seek medical attention asap just in case. In majority of mall cases there are no complications if you do have H1N1 but you do need to be watched closely as respiratory distress is a common symptom and when not caught in time it can be fatal.
