Date Posted: 20:59:37 12/02/09 Wed Opening number was ok, average at best, I think a little more time and effort should be put into it, a few more rehersals and more of a "production" would really go a long way. To hit the "names" everyone is talking about: Kristi Rizzo- in my opinion, looked awful. She had a dress on that looked like it was made for a Mrs. Contestant, her overtly large fake boobs looked like rocks and her swimsuit figure left much to be desired. Honestly, I just don't get any hype on her, she looks 40 with thin lips and overly done hair. Not surprised she didn't make top 5, although, I will say out of the girls competing she deserved her placement in the 10. Marie-Lynn - Unfortunately, I think her arrogance got the best of her this year and the judges saw right through it. This girl was afforded a lot of extras and opportunities that other contestants were not given and clearly thought she had it "in the bag." This was the heaviest she has ever looked and her gown choice just accentuated her now large hips and shoulders. Although her face is beautiful, I think her attitude has killed it, I don't see her ever winning the CT USA title. 4th runner-up Sasha Hills: Interview: Amazing. This girl can talk and was on point. Her swimsuit was great as well and she looked to have toned up for the pageant. Her gown was a poor choice for her and reminded me of something from prom. Her set back is her styling and the fact that she looks far too old and MAO, no sex appeal. 3rd runner-up Amaryllis Rodriguez: I actually thought the pageant would come down to her and Kym Smith. Although, I was not on her band wagon pre-pageant, she brought it this past weekend. Her hair change and styling was PERFECT. She looked great and had the best swimsuit walk, hands down. Drawback: her height, I don't know if she could ever hold her on enough to put CT on the map at USA, but facially, she is gorgeous. 2nd runner up- Jacqueline Ferreira - Beautiful GIrl!!! Her gown choice was a little MAO for me and she could use a little tonining in swimsuit but she has a beautiful face. I don't have much else to say about her because honestly I'm surprised she was 2nd runner-up, a little lack luster on stage, no *Sparkle*. If she can fix that, her face could take her to the crown. 1st runner-up: Kym Smith. With the right styling this girl could've won. She's beautiful, has a great body and is very poised, her only issue is she's not sexy. If she was competing in Teen, she would've had it, but for Miss she really needs to va va voom it up, but she could be there, because she is BEAUTIFUL! Winner: Ashley Bickford: Biggest head scratcher of the night for me. I do not get ANYTHING about this girl. As you've all seen her gown was the WORST of the entire pageant. Her swimsuit walk, while yes good, is not amazing and her body is not toned, just skinny. Although, I LOVED her ss choice. Speaking ability: eh, sounded fake and rehearsed. The part that I don't understand is her face, she is not attractive and seems to have an issue with her eyes. She had strangly hair, deep circles under her eyes and I honestly don't think she will do anything at USA. As for teens: The winner was RIGHT ON, although needs work in ss, she is GORGEOUS and could do amazing at TUSA. Although if Tiffany couldn't make the cut, I doubt this one will. Beezley was crowned Miss California USA and the crown was removed from the wrong head. I am no Marie-Lynn fan. But the girls from last year should have some sort of extra consideration because of the impropriety with the judging. No wonder Crown Productions sold out. This new pageant office has a good history and they are placing in the nationals. I think they should help the girls from last year out though. They never had a fair chance. Date Posted: 06:18:04 10/20/08 Mon OK USBers this is my offical rundown from the pageant as someone who attended both prelim and finals night. First, the production, lighting, etc... was all great. Absolutely a step up from previous years and the whole show had a more glamorous and professional vibe to it. Stage was beautiful.The location was gorgeous, but in Southern CT, not very central and a little hard to find. The entertainment was horrible, a singer who was R&B/Hip Hop and not very good.The hosts Jennifer Turner - Miss Mass USA '99 and Mrs. United States 2002 I believe, was great and her co-host (don't remember his name) was witty and funny. For judges, Alita Dawson was a Teen Judge and looked, in my opinion, the best she's ever looked. Teen Top 10 ALEX TENNIE - Very thing, short blonde hair, no make-up very teen looking, not much spark but great body. RACHEL SCHWARTZ - Eh DARLEN DELIA - Great, I though she would be in the top 5. Very fresh and teen looking, great gown choice and very naturally beautiful. KELSEY MCDONALD - The girl is gorgeous but has no personality on stage. Gown was waaaay to short. ALICIA SHANNON - Pretty Girl, great showing for a newbie. SAMANTHA INHOL - This girl looked like a soft porn star. Short bleach blonde hair, her body was very soft and her question was eh. SHAE GARRITY - I though this one was def. top 5, beautiful, teen and a great body and stage presence. TIFFANY TEXEIRA - TOTAL PACKAGE! She was gorgeous, her gown color was beautiful but the bottom of it did nothing for me. She was on in ss and her walks were perfect. MARISSA ROGERS - beauiful girl but looked a little robotic, no sparkle. JENNIFER PORTER - Total SHOCKER. A mess, redhair, reddish gown, pale skin, not good. TEEN RESULTS: Winner: Tiffany Texeira 1st: Kelsey McDonald 2nd: Marissa Rogers 3rd: Alex Tenney 4th: Samantha Inhol Miss Top 10 ASHLEY BICKFORD - Beautiful gown, light blue, and great SS but her question was so rehearsed and she just seemed blah. Facially, I just don't think she's a beautiful girl or Miss USA. ELISE FIRESTONE - Potential, but you could tell her was a body builder. Amazing body but she walked sticking her chest out the whole time and "prancing." I loved her EG on her. NIKKI GROUMOUSAS - No improvement from last year. Same gown I believe. Eh. ERIN OLIVIO - Wore a one piece, with another poor "prom" style gown choice. Surprised she made it into the 10 let a lone the 5. She looked like she was 14, cute yes, but not beautiful. MONICA PIETRAZACK - Poor swimsuit presentation, she was definitely not in the best shape. Her gown was beautiful, but seemed to be a lil ill fitting as she doesn't have much up top. A shocker for me. But she's VERY tall ( taller than Ashely B) and legs forever. MARIE-LYNN PISCITELLI- Her nerves got the best of her. You could tell once she got there she was psyched out. Her swimsuit presentation was beautiful ( although poor sarong choice)but her EG killed her. Color was horrible and it made her look wide, which she wasn't. Lacked sparkle. But definitely deserved higher placement, I had her as 2nd. KRISTI RIZZO - Too pale, horrible wardrobe choices, and her tummy was waaaay too soft in SS. I believe she stole her EG idea from a former Miss. She just looked nervous. Although, she had a lot of supporters there. KIMBERLY SMITH - A great improvement from last year. Her gown choice was great and her body in swimsuit was beautiful. I think her question was right on and had her as possible 1st runner up. HEIDI VOIGHT - Beautiful and amazing stage presence. Her tummy was a bit jiggly in swimsuit and she could've toned more. Her EG choice was beautiful on her, but seemed a little too old school pageantry. Her question was right on and I definitely thought she'd be top 5!!!! JACQUELINE FERRERIA - Very polished girl, beautiful gown, bust just lacked the "it" factor on stage. Winner: Monica Pietrazck 1st: Ashley Bickford 2nd: Kim Smith 3rd: Erin Olivo 4th: Marie-Lynn Piscitelli (From a stage view, MLP should've placed higher and EO should've been out of there and HV or JF instead.) The Teen winner was right on and the clear stand out, the Miss winner was a shocker for most people, I can see where the judges liked her but don't think she'll place at USA, the Teen could have a shot to take top 5 at Teen USA. MLP should come back with more confidence and a different gown.Kim Smith should come back and try to look a little more mature. Ashely B I believe should compete at Mass USA where I believe she lives and I think she would have a better shot. Kelsey M should come back for Miss ( I believe she's out of Teen) but she should hold off a couple of years, still too Teen to hop right into Miss. Marissa Rogers - Extensions and personality on stage could take Teen next year. Now for the audience. Alysa Castonguay (RI USA) was there and although she looked pretty, is very short and really did not stand out as a "Miss USA." Jackie Bruno was there looking better than ever, just gorgeous. Amy Diaz was there and although I hate the bangs on her, she looked gorgeous. For CT girls in attendance Kristen Babich was there and although cute, I don't think she should try again for the USA title, VERY SHORT and a little rough around the edges. Jacinta was there, and I might get ripped a new one, but this girl is gorgeous. She was seated near me and wow, if she lost weight she could be a contender. Lindsay B was there as well, eh, she looked a little dumpy and had her hair in a bun, although some bangs that looked cute on her. I think she's done competing. Amarilis was there and she is very pretty as well, but still very young looking, I don't know if I see a USA win in her future but hear she'll be back next year. Nina M was in the audience looking very thin with blonde hair, which I liked on her better than the brunette! She's beautiful, if she came back to USA she could do well. Olga was in the audience and looking gorgeous as well, although, same idea, still too teen looking - giver her a few years and USA here she comes. These are my opinions and I hope to hear yours! With over 15 years experience in pageantry as a contestant, titleholder, judge, emcee, choreographer, and pageant director, I am able to coach in all phases of competition. I have held the titles of Miss CT Teen America, Miss Southern New England (American Coed), 1st Runner up to Miss Teen America, several NY local titles, Miss New York 2004, and Top 10 at Miss America. I have also been a national talent winner and recognized nationally for my community service efforts. The location will be the Sheraton Hotel at Bradley International Airport, Hartford, CT 06096. The hotel telephone number is 800-627-5311. The sleeping room rate is $109 per night for New England's Perfect Pageant contestants, friends, and family. The areas of competition are fashion Outfit of Choice and Evening Gown and will be Fashion Show style with a runway. The state entry fee is $200.00 for Junior Teen, Teen and Miss Contestants and $100 for Little Miss, Young Miss and Pre-Teen. We are selecting highly motivated, enthusiastic individuals who are dedicated and seek to provide a positive pageant experience. AMERICA'S MISS State Directors hold a Teen/Miss Pageant in their state for young women 13-26 years of age.
