I'm not shure, but 1984 has about 300 pages... I cannot say it has a surprising ending, at least I wasn't surprised at all when I finished the book. The happenings have to culminate in a certain ending, and Orwell doesn't avoid it. But read it, it's a very good book. And tell me what you thought!
