Tim thanks. Please share any experience from your childhood. We don't want it limited to hospital stays that was just what my first one was about. We will take stories from doctor's visits or at home. We just want more than one or two sentences. Share the details.

I can add that when I got home from the hospital once, my mom had me lay on my stomach on the floor in the living room by the Christmas tree and my mom pulled my pants down and took my rectal temp. I can say that it hurt less when my mom took it, especially when she twisted the thermometer when it was inserted in my rectum. And she didn't use Vaseline or any other kind of lubrication.
But, my mom stopped taking it rectally at the age of 5 because she felt that I had it taken rectally so much in the hospital. And from the age of 8 months until 5 years, I was in the hospital more than most kids as I was misdiagnosed as having Retinoblastoma, a rare cancer of the eye. But, it turned out to be a rare genetic mutatation that is neurological, but I was lucky as it didn't affect me as it could have. So I wasn't hospitalized any more as a child. But I did go to the pediatric neurology unit in the county hospital once a year to see my neurologist(and no, I didn't any more rectal temps there) I'm not going to shate my health history here, in public.
I did come from school one day a few years later to see my mom taking my brother's temp rectally. He was standing up, and mom had his pants unzipped and unbuttoned. and she pulled his pants down and she laid him across her lap in the chair in the living room. And I think he cried a little, but mom calmed him down. And I saw my sister getting her's taken across my mom's lap in the bathroom on the toilet.
My discussions here will talk about my own rectal temp experiences as a teen( I would often steal the family thermometer at the age of 14, and insert it in my butt and hump on the bed and ejaculate sperm, which felt incredible) but, I started that behavior before that by inserting objects in my anal cavity just to get an erection, to hump and to ejacuate sperm. Let's just say my mom caught me a few times, and asked me how old I was and to grow up.( I wanted to say, hello, this behavior is natural for a 14 year old boy,to explore his sexuality) One time, I inserted a Write Bro.'s pen with the ball point in my rectum(let's just say that the tip broke and I had ink in my rectum and on my bed sheets.My mom was pissed because I ruined a set of sheets, and she made me wash my rectal area. It took several weeks for the ink to come out. The only reason she saw me was because it happened late at night.
From then on, I tried to be discrete and only do it when I knew no one was home,and I was alone. I think I was caught once in high school by my brother who brought his friend home. And my brother tried to talk me out of my behavior/fetish. But, I'm sorry he didn't do that, and my rectal temp fetish continues today, but mom leaves me alone, even though I think she still knows I still do it.

The only doctor's office rectal temp experience I had was when I was 13 years old. My mom(a nurse) was trying to break me of my anal insertion fetish, and she called my doctor's office and requested he take my temp rectally so I knew what it really felt like to have my temp taken rectally. Of course I was made to strip down to everything except my underwear. But, not knowing it was going to happen, I heard the doctor tell the nurse to get him a baby thermometer. Then my doctor told me to turn over on my belly. He pulled my undewear down, and stuck the thermometer in my butt. And my mom's snide remark was "Good, now you know what a rectal temperature really feels like." But of course my brother was there also and saw the whole thing, and he did not get his temp taken at all. I felt like I was unfairly singled out. My mom would always lecture me about "not perferating my bowel"and I could "cause seriious injury to my rectum" if I did it. What did I care at 13/14 years old. It felt good, and that's all I cared about.
