Hi I just want to clear up the fact that Metis people started on the East Coast of Canada. ( Nova Scotia, Newbrunswick, Labrador then moved up through Quebec, Ontario and then contiued out to the Western provinces. Metis were mostly fur traders of the Hudson Bay Company or the Northwest Company. I agree this paticular individual John Williams sounds crazy, but there are and still remain Metis families in the Eastern provinces including Quebec.
