Subject: My take on the pm who says she is tanning her dd b/c she is doing glitz and natural (click in)

If you have ever done a natural pageant and they say NO FAKE rule in their ppw- it means no fake anything. If you do tan your dd- you run the risk of another pm saying something to the director and your dd getting disqualified. Plus even if you do get away with it- the judges will see your dd's face and body are 2 different colors. You can have your dd do both- but just don't tan. I know for some this is a hard to grasp concept- but there are many who do glitz and they do not tan at all.
This is just a helpful nod that there will be plenty of natural pm's who will be entering their children and they will notice another child if they have fake anything for the natural events.

[> I kinda look at tanning as makeup. We don't do glitz so forgive me if this is a stupid question, but can you tan after the natural event ends? -- No name, 12:14:15 01/30/09 Fri [1]

[> [> no, it has to be done the night before, takes hours to be thoughly dry to not ruin dresses. -- The Glitz pageants we've been to, they always allow tanning for the natural side, just no make-up. But everyone should check with director for her rules., 12:56:05 01/30/09 Fri [1]

[> [> [> OK, that makes sense. But do they tan kids faces too or just the bodies? I would think judges would understand that some kids will be tan and some will not. -- No name, 13:16:11 01/30/09 Fri [1]

[> [> [> [> in NOTY i know it was in ppw that they allowed for tans and nails, stars ppw just says no fake for natural so imo i think if you tan- it's fake and should be disqualified -- No name, 13:54:02 01/30/09 Fri [1]

[> [> [> [> [> [> You sound like someone who will cause problems for Lucy no matter what she does.Tans are fake yes, but the rules say no fake. If you want to dictate rules for a pageant you need to become a director and hold your own pageant. -- No name, 17:30:32 01/30/09 Fri [1]

[> [> [> No , they went on stage with NO MAKEUP at all at NOTY. Just like they will at Stars. When you tan your body that is a choice you make that your face color will not match your arms. -- No name, 06:46:59 02/01/09 Sun [1]
