Tim, two words - "no", and "no". Travis Meeks is a)Very talented, and b)Doesn't understand that a band makes music, not one person. There's a big difference between what I'm talking about, and what you're talking about, but I wouldn't expect you to see that.
me - Didn't mean to get pissy like that, sorry. No harm done by what you said, I know what you're saying.
Everyone - The songwriter dictates (those cursed words again) the general direction of the songs, because (now follow me here) they write the songs, after all. That gets the band a negligible amount out of the starting blocks. The glory in a band lies in the interpretation of the song, or how they perform it, as opposed to someone else's version. Just because two bands might do dramatically different versions of a song doesn't mean that the song has been rewritten. It's just being interpreted differently. And that's that.
If any of you have any other preconceived notions to as how we work, or to as the size of my head, go over in the corner, bend over, and reload, because I'm done explaining things to the less-inclined.
