Hey, everybody. Just want to take the time to let you all know what's going on with us, considering we've been dormant since the 4th...
Right now we're working on eight songs, four of which you'll be seeing sometime soon live. We're announcing the unfortunate death of "The Song", considering it sucked, and we've replaced it with a catchy song, with the working title "Another Song", because the music is different, but oddly the same... "Ether" is completed, and will be used to open our shows, eventually, and will lead into "Ethereal", which is still being written, considering it's seven minutes long and has 92846590274523 different parts in it. "Black Rain" is written, we just have to learn it all. "Haven't Seen Your Eyes" is being made into a full band version. There's a new intro song that leads into "Music Box". We're eventually going to bust out a Led Zep-like song, one that doesn't even have a working title. "Fallen" is still coming along quite nicely There's still quite a few that are left on the horizon...
As far as the album is concerned, we're psyched about it. We're sifting through all of the ideas, getting rid of the songs that suck ("The Song", for example...), and expanding on all of the ideas that don't. We're thinking of ways to add "atmospheric sounds" during songs, so the album isn't just a collection of songs that we threw together. And basically, we're just thinking of ways to avoid the dreaded "first album" traps that other bands fall into, like having the same guitar distortion or effect on every song, changing around the levels of guitars, basses, and drums on each song, and generally making this one an honest effort.
You'll eventually see us live, we're in the midst of organizing a show with Guy Fox at Col. Town, stay tuned for more on that one, it should coincide with the release of THEIR new CD, which you'll be able to buy at the show. And now... I'll end this. Talk to you later!
