I think I'll mention the insanely low price I paid for my equipment. I paid $260 for a $1000 Steinberger bass, brand new. I get my strings for about $12, without shipping. That's incredibly cheap for double-ball end 5-string bass strings. I also got a 50 watt Ampeg head and 350 watt Peavey cabinet for $500, used, but only a few months old, and never gigged. Nobody really cares, but here's some advice. Look around before buying something. Chances are that you'll find something just as good or better for less or the same amount of money.
