Subject: Exciting Surprise in the campout!

The next day they rode, hiked, swam and took sily photos of their friends. By dinner time, they group of kids were exhuasted and they ate several hotdogs and finished it off with marshmellows and smores. Then they played flash light tag but that spooked the horses so then they had a contest to see who could catch the most fireflies. Tia won, catching 11 in one jar, and then they let the bugs go. They crawled sleepily into their tents.

During the night, Teresa woke up. She stepped outside. The fresh summer air was warm and smelled like the moutains. It was dark but Teresa's sharp eyes noted the well used trail down to the waterfall they had often used. With an idea forming in mind, she rept to wake the others. Sleepily, Kara, Allie, and Tia dressed and followed Teresa to their horses. Teresa slid the bridle over Blondie's head and jumped up onto the Paint mare bareback. The others did the same and the 4 girls quietly clopped down the trail. They reached the waterfall and stood in silent awe as they watched the now ebony water spill into the dark, glistening pool. Suddenly Indy reared and Kara almost fell off. The horses pranced nervously. "What is it?" Allie exclaimed in a loud whisper as they heard something big coming up the trail. With a scream the boys burst out, cantering bareback on their horses. Blondie bolted past them towards the camp; Indy reared and walked a few steps on his hindlegs, eyes wild, and Allie had to grip the reins in a death hold as Shining backed up and threw his head up. Tia's Thoroughbred, Foxy, bolted after Blondie.
