SUNDAY, July 21st, 2013 Entry Fee: $10.00 per pageant *ONLY 10 CONTESTANTS WILL BE ACCEPTED IN EACH DIVISION* ~*Due to space limitations we can not accept more than 10 contestants in each division. Before submitting your entry form please be sure to submit your payment FIRST. If your division is full it will not let you submit payment*~ Divisions Your division is based on your age as of January 1st, 2013! Baby Miss (Ages 0-23 months) Tiny Miss (Ages 2-4 years) Little Miss (Ages 5-7) Petite Miss (Ages 8-10) Junior Miss (Ages 11-13) Teen Miss (Ages 14-16) Miss (Ages 17-23) Ms (ages 24 and up) *YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE IN ALABAMA TO BE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE!* Answers to FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Attire: Attire for this pageant is BACK TO SCHOOL WEAR! This can be any outfit with BACK TO SCHOOL THEME! Khaki pants, uniform top or custom made outfit... it is UP TO YOU! Is your little one too young for school? Any type of "casual wear" is fine! : ) No pageant dresses! Hair and Makeup: We are not a glitz pageant but do allow makeup. Please come completely dressed and ready to compete. There will be a bathroom available for minor touch ups but please arrive completely dressed in your pageant attire with hair and makeup finished! Competition Details: Contestants will do a walk of choice to upbeat music. We provide the music so you do not need to bring a CD. Model like you are in a fashion show! :) Check In: Check in begins at 1:00 and ends at 1:45. DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY TO CHECK IN. Contestants will not be allowed to check in after 2:45 so be sure you are on time! WE WILL NOT WAIT FOR LATE CONTESTANTS! Judging: Contestants will be judged on Overall Appearance, Stage Presence and Personality. Queen of Hearts title: All of our pageants are "Pageants with a Purpose" and we love to teach our girls the importance of giving back to the community. Typically we collect non perishable food items but this pageant is a little bit different! This pageant we are going to be helping our local schools! We have partnered with the Dothan Education Foundation to do a much needed school supply drive. Simply bring in 10 items of the needs list for each pageant you are participating in and help us help the Dothan area schools! Needs List: •Loose leaf paper – wide ruled •Loose leaf paper – college ruled •Copy paper •Graph paper •# 2 pencils •Mechanical pencils •Ball point pens – blue, black, red ink (no gel pens) •Highlighters •Black Sharpies •Crayons – boxes of 24 •Crayons – boxes of 8 fat •Colored pencils •Glue sticks •Elmer’s glue •Scissors (safety) •Rulers •Calculators •3 ring binders – 1.5 and 2 inch •Plastic folders – 2 pocket with brads – all colors •Paper folders – 2 pocket with brads – all colors •Pencil bags •Paper towels •Kleenex •Clorox wipes •Hand sanitizer •Zip lock bags – quart and gallon size •Backpacks (no rolling) The one contestant that brings in the most items will be awarded our Queen of Hearts title. If you are bringing in more than the required 10 you must have the items counted prior to turning it in. All food must be in boxes REUSABLE shopping bags labled with the contestants name, division and the TOTAL NUMBER OF ITEMS BEING TURNED IN. **THIS MEAN SO PAPER OR PLASTIC GROCERY STORE BAGS** The contestant who turns in the most items with the proper labeling will receive a rhinestone crown, monogrammed sash and entry fee paid to the 2013 Alabama's Miss Heart of the USA Pageant. Ambassador: At each preliminary pageant we award and Ambassador title. Our Ambassador title is a very special title at the Miss Heart of the USA Pageant. Our Ambassadors help promote our program! The contestant who refers the most contestants who register and COMPETE will be awarded our AMBASSADOR title! So tell our friends and be sure they put YOUR NAME in the referral box! Winner will receive a rhinestone crown, monogrammed Miss Heart of the USA County Queen sash, rhinestone pin and entry fee paid to the 2013 ALABAMA's Miss Heart of the USA Pageant. Viewers Choice: Our Viewers Choice title is voted on by the audience. Each vote is $1.00 and you can vote as many times as you'd like. The contestant with the most votes WINS! Winner will receive a rhinestone crown, monogrammed Miss Heart of the USA County Queen sash, rhinestone pin and entry fee paid to the 2013 ALABAMA's Miss Heart of the USA Pageant. Miss Photogenic: Photos can be of any size and do not have to be professionally done. This can be a headshot or full body shot. You can include up to 5 photos at $10.00 per photo. We will award ONE photogenic winner. *YOU MUST FIRST ENTER YOUR DIVISION BEFORE YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE FOR THE PHOTOGENIC TITLE*We will also award a first and second runner up in each division. Runners up will receive a prize and gift certificate to be used toward State Pageant entry fees. Each person entering the COMMUNITY CENTER (except for the contestant) is required to purchase an armband. These armbands are $10.00 each.
