By the time the dates a set, some if us wil have fixed our anual calendars already.

That means, as much as would desire to be around for the triumpant 25th anniversary, we might not be able to make it.

The sooner dates and venues are determined the better.

I just thought so!

Mac

well, what I said was what I heard from Jef, about a couple of days after the convention was over. Like I said, that needs to be verified properly with the current EASA executives.

with the dates and venue, personally I would say, leave the first three weeks of December 2009 fluid and flexible on your calender, and be prepared to TRAVEL, whether its Yankis, Kandep, Progera, within Wabag town vicinity, or the venue where the first convention was held (dont ask me where it was). That's IF the time and venue were not set, otherwise, we will know it soon.

Guys,

I do not know what the dates will be but an executive committee decided that the venue be at Minamb Valley. I have no probs with the venue but can't recall the last time the EASA constitution as been amended to give some powers to a committee to decide a convention venue.

The venue for the next convention is always a prime agenda of the AGM to debate and vote for and not shelfed for a committee.

If changes are done to the EASA Constituion than some of us needs to be updated. This online forum would be a nice avenue to broadcast any of such.

Regards,
Mac...

mac

good point!

I as well am in the dark of the legality of the 'new' approach. I was told that a nominating committee is appointed by ----? ***(scratching my head) - the general body, I suppose. Then that nominating committee is 'assumed' to have the appointing powers - to select venues, vote/nominate the executives and so on.

some one would know it better - wrt the corresponding changes in the constitution.

Mac,

I agree on what you have just pointed out. It was always the case that the next venue is voted in th AGM and I suppose it is stipulated in our EASA constitution. If there was an amendment to it then it needs to be made known in black and white.

Concerned??

Bexter
