Hills of Rolling Thunder
Hills and rocks are scattered throughout this whole expanse with a smattering of broken trees. The hills are quite steep, with overhanging rocks, most leading into caves into the hillside, providing ample shelter from the frequent violent thunderstorms. There is plenty of water here to drink, because of the rain. You can’t venture outside during one of these storms you will slip on one of the rocks, or get struck by lightning. Visibility out here in one of these storms is nil. The hailstones smash onto the ground, devastating even further the already damaged trees, and chipping away at the rocks and bolts of lighting rip through the air to the ground, often starting small fires, but they extinguish quickly because of the rain.. There are spells of nice weather too though. You are able to venture out into the daylight. It is a peculiar looking place, everything’s eroded and uneven, and huge muddy gullies run down the hillsides. There is still a lot of lush green grass on some of the flat plateaus on the hills, providing ample food. Mosses grow in the caves, and there are many underground pools too, providing everything one need in the storms. A scary place is this, but provides very well for its residents. Move out temporarily when you have young though. The storms would kill a calf from fright.
