Subject: Did anyone attend Bearys this weekend? My gdd went and actually won a title. It wasn't a large title but we were surprised and very proud! Bearys is tough competition. Hope everyone had a good time. We'll put this one on our list to return to next year.

[> how funny! I heard a couple of people had left not knowing they won.. it was so nice and not stressful at all! We loved the hotel too except for the restaurant.. Service stunk and food was just ok but the rest was really nice -- No name, 20:06:21 02/23/09 Mon [1]

[> I agree about the resturant. It's really not very kid friendly. Last year I found the some fast food places and took orders before crowning started at Total Miss. If you can leave on Fri or Sat night you can find several things around close. My dd & her dh went to the Under the Sea Resturant on Sat night. Said it was great. Pricey but good food and gdd loved all the fish. We went to the Rain Forest last year & loved it. It's always like a mini vacation for us to go there. -- Love it!, 07:13:47 02/24/09 Tue [1]

We attended Beary, but was a little dissapointed. The pageant was fun and it ran very smoothly, I just don't like it when pageants double title. I watched the two little girls in front of us recieve 2 titles. I know you could win natural/gliz titles, but these were the overall titles. I like it when they pull the top titles then those girls are done and another little girl has a chance. CH was very nice and I think she did a great job, just would have been nice for more little girls to have a chance at a title.

[> [> [> Yes I read the rules, but missed that part. Thats my fault. I'm not knocking the pageant, just wasn't crazy about it. We have competed at several nationals and this is the first that double crowned. How is it fair for a little girl to recieve a divisional title and an overall title. I just like it better when the girls are ineligible for additional titles after the top titles are pulled. We had fun, we won a title, but we probably won't be back. This is just my opinion and others may feel different. -- No name, 07:44:32 02/26/09 Thu [1]

[> Beary's is very tough competition. Even to place in a group is hard because there are some many girls who have a lot of experience. It seems like we went to Nashville for years before dd started winning. Now it's the same in Atalnta. We can't even place in Atlanta. It seems the same girls win in Atlanta everytime we go. So, we're staying away. LOL -- we decided to write Atlanta off our schedule for awhile., 05:32:28 02/26/09 Thu [1]
