Subject: Saw the yeast...Bought the salt

I went in Sam's yesterday and had the yeast in my hand but figured there was no way I was going to make enough bread in one pop to use one of those two big blocks of yeast. I'm guessing though that I could prob. get one of those "count your calorie" type food scales and break it down into the reg. packet amt and then crank up my seal-a-meal. Why didn't I think of that when I had it in my hand...sheesh.

My hubby and I tried an experiment today. We purchased the box of bread machine bread mixes (4 white and 3 wheat in the box) The yeast packets are included and all you do is add water. It was too hot to attempt to bake with anything other than our elec. oven. But it worked out great. BTW..we have no bread machine. The box does have the instructions for the old fashioned mix it up, etc.
