This is the arid, dry, incredibly hot part of Bauchi. There is no sand, but hardly any grass either. No water nor many features, though the occaional cactus is seen. It stretches away to the north of Bauchi, and though relatively small, seems gigantic due to the mirages one begins to see within minutes of staying in this heat. There is a tree or four, very spread out, and the odd hidden oasis or two as well. All in all, this is a rather dangerous place to be in the daytime.
