If Keirnan resigned, then the board would be split 2-2; two Dems, two Reps. That would end the Repulbican control of the town. I don't think he'll resign unless he is led away in handcuffs. Even then, he'd hold on not to allow the Dems to have an equal vote as the Reps. Too much at stake. Patronage, skelteons in the closet, cover-ups, toppling of the dynasties of Copake.
