Energy Project Mgr - MA, NY, NC, VA, GA, IL, CA
Responsible for management of development and implementation of Energy Savings Projects.
Support of the project development team and include performing surveys, estimating costs, value engineering, subcontractor / vendor solicitation and developing a construction budget.
•Support the site investigation activity and provide cost estimates for initial cost/savings analysis of all potential energy conservation measures (ECMs) being considered
•Confirm that the design concepts can be implemented cost effectively.
•Prepare vendor and subcontractor bid documents for obtaining multiple proposals (for each work package) and compare such with their independent estimates and historical data to evaluate the bids and project costs.
•Prepare a construction budget including all subcontractor, vendor and internal direct costs, mark-up and miscellaneous contingencies.
•Review and comment on draft revisions of technical ECM descriptions, project management approach and schedule to ensure that they are consistent
Create detailed scopes of work for the preparation of subcontract agreements and vendor purchase orders.
•Implement a site-specific safety plan
•Prepare accurate, timely and detailed monthly project status reports. Reports will included a description of work completed to date, the work schedule going forward, deviations from the previous report, subcontractor change orders and customer issues and/or project scope changes.
Minimum Qualifications:
•Strong background in the management of projects involving mechanical, electrical and building automation system design and installation
•Demonstrate their ability to manage a multi-million-dollar project portfolio and a team made up of Project Managers, Design Engineers, Operations & Maintenance, Measurement & Verification and Commissioning Engineers/Technicians as well as Administration staff, Field Installers, Vendors and Subcontractors.
•BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or another technical field related to construction or the energy saving industry

Managing ESCO/Performance Contracting Projects in Schools and Hospitals
The Director, Commissioning & Energy Services is a brand new, exciting opportunity to build the Midwest Region, based in Chicago, IL. You will have responsibility for people management, service quality, multiple client relationships, financial performance, and local operations region support/interface. Client-specific responsibilities include managing all aspects of a commissioning program, such as developing a commissioning plan, status reports, coordinating commissioning meetings, organizing and conducting installation inspections and systems performance testing, and facilitating project turnover and training.

Position responsibilities

- Leadership: Management responsibility for a team of commissioning
professionals. Previous experience in a leadership role is required.
- Business Development: You will partner with company sales
professionals to explain Technical Services capabilities. Direct
accountability for multiple client relationships and assisting in new sales
opportunities is included
- Schedule technical resources and develop/maintain budget
- Ensure quality of service delivery, network internally and externally to
build the most cohesive team and client relationships
- Manage resources efficiently
- Communicate regularly with Managing Director and VP, Technical
Services
- Apply technical service standards and proprietary software database
- Maintain client satisfaction - externally and internally
- Project and report financial results

Qualifications

- Education: BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering highly preferred
- Experience: 10+ years related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and leadership skills
- Demonstrated time management skills, resulting in the ability to
manage multiple client relationships and prioritize time and resources
accordingly
- Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time
- Demonstrated potential to advance within the organization
- In-depth understanding and "hands on" experience with any or all of the
following systems - HVAC, electrical, building automation/controls,
boilers, air conditioning and/or chillers.
