Hope his bloviating was worth it, because Trump is becoming a pariah in not only the Latino community and people offended by his remarks but also the business world.

Everyone has been saying for years that Donald Trump would eventually kill off the Miss USA and Miss Universe Pageants. Well, he's finally done it. It wasn't good enough that Miss Teen USA no longer airs. Now it's RIP for the other two pageants. So sad.

NEW YORK

Donald Trump's fledgling GOP presidential bid quickly led to business fallout for him, with Univision saying it will drop the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants and cut all ties with Trump over comments on Mexican immigrants.

The company said Thursday it was canceling its Spanish-language coverage of the Miss USA pageant July 12. It will also ax its planned coverage of the Miss Universe pageant next January and is severing its business relationship with the Miss Universe Organization, which produces both pageants, because of what it called "insulting remarks about Mexican immigrants" by Trump, a part owner of Miss Universe.
On Wednesday, June 24, 2015, the singer canceled a planned performance at the Miss USA pageant following comments made by Donald Trump about Mexican immigrants. During his presidential campaign kickoff speech last week, Trump accused Latino immigrants of bringing drugs, crime and rapists to the U.S. He called for building a wall along the southern border of the U.S. On Thursday, Univision announced it will not air the July pageant and has ended its business relationship with the Miss Universe Organization, which produces the Miss USA pageant. Trump is a part owner of the organization.

NBC remained silent about its scheduled coverage of the Miss USA pageant, which has aired on the network since 2003. But it sought to distance itself from Trump's remarks.

"Donald Trump's opinions do not represent those of NBC, and we do not agree with his positions on a number of issues, including his recent comments on immigration," NBC said in a statement.

Trump has long been featured on another NBC program, "Celebrity Apprentice," which is currently on hiatus. The show has been renewed, but the network hasn't commented on its future since Trump declared his candidacy.

During his presidential campaign kickoff speech last week, Trump portrayed immigrants from Mexico as "bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they're rapists, and some, I assume, are good people." He also called for building a wall along the southern border of the U.S. The remarks drew condemnation from the Mexican government as "biased and absurd."

Finally...an unedited explanation by Donald Trump on what is going on, what he plans to do, and how things are in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as 51 young woman seek the Miss USA title, for what it may be worth now, maybe or hassle for the winners in the end. A year of Donald Trump and this stuff may make some of the contestants with to not win on July 12th.

Watch anchor Don Lemmon interview Donald Trump tonight, Wednesday, at 10 pm Eastern/9:00 pm Central time on CNN. Lets hope Don ask Mr. Trump some important pageant-related questions, not just all about the Mexicans, alleged rapists, and his crazy presidential race.

Again, CNN tonight with Donald Trump.

Over the past couple of days, I have actually been really upset, not at the comments that Mr. Trump made about illegal immigrants from Mexico, but about how much attention this is getting. I am Hispanic and I am probably one of the (very) few who is not offended by his comments primarily because not every immigrant from Mexico is good. He did not say that EVERY immigrant from Mexico was a rapist, brought drugs, etc. I do not understand why so many people are backing out from airing, judging and performing in the Miss USA pageant. I believe that the vast majority of people who have chosen to back out from their contractual duties are doing so primarily because they are following the lead of others who have chosen to back out of their contractual agreements.
I believe that the reason why a lot of people dislike Donald Trump is because he is blunt. Everyone knows that he is blunt and says what is on his mind, and yes, although a lot of his comment are "politically incorrect," it does not mean that they are merely incorrect.
The phrase "politically incorrect" derives from the notion that when you're in politics there are certain topics, comments, phrases, etc. that you "shouldn't" say because they hurt your reputation...but why should someone, anyone, not say what is true just because it will receive backlash?
So, to reiterate my previous statement, I am a Hispanic woman and I am not offended by the comments Mr. Trump made because he DID NOT say *every illegal immigrant was a rapist, etc. He said some, and that is true. SOME illegal immigrants are bad people just like some Americans commit bad crimes. The premise of his statement was to get to the point that he was going to do something and the immigration issue that is currently impacting America.
I think that instead of people bashing Mr. Trump and the negative comments that he made, people should instead shift their focus to the 51 women who worked years to get to represent their state. Whether it is televised or not (although I hope it is), isn't the whole point of competing to showcase your state, your platform, and what you believe in?
We should stand behind these women and still be supporters of the organization no matter the outcome.

What are the 51 state beauty pageant winners gearing up for July 12’s Miss USA pageant going to do now?

NBC dumped Donald Trump on Monday and said the network would not be involved with – or even air – their jointly-owned Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.

The Miss Universe Organization said in a statement sent to FOX411 the organization is "built on a foundation of inclusion" and they are "disheartened" by the recent events, but the show must go on.

"While world politics and other influences will undoubtedly play a role, the pageant will always seek to transcend controversy," the organization declared. "It is unfortunate that recent events beyond our control have only served to negatively impact the women who participate in the pageant, our state directors, our sponsors and our fans. We want our supporters to know we remain committed to them and we will be conducting the pageant, regardless of the current situation."

But finding someone to air the show seems to be the big challenge.

An insider connected to the Miss Universe Organization, which also operates the Miss USA and Teen USA competitions, says much of the pageant staff are “shopping for new jobs unless they can find a suitable buyer for Miss USA.”

“It doesn’t look like anyone will air it at this stage,” the source told FOX411 of the scheduled Miss USA contest. “They could possibly buy time but they’ll need to find someone to sell it to them… No one knows what will happen.”

That would leave 51 state pageant winners – many of whom have been in pageants for years and spent thousands of dollars to get to this point – with pretty dresses that only a few people will see.

Shandi Finnessey, Miss USA 2004 and 1st runner-up to Miss Universe that same year, said it’s “incredibly unfortunate that it is not being televised this year.”

“I have trained a lot of these girls for the USA pageant and they were so excited to share this experience with friends and family who would fly to Baton Rouge to watch them,” said Finnessey, who founded the pageant training company Pageantology with 2003 Miss USA Susie Castillo.

Our insider also said that NBC “had been looking for a way out of airing the show for some time, and this was the perfect out.”

“Ratings and ad revenue have slipped dramatically the last 10 years and it costs a fortune to put this on,” the source explained. “They kept it going for ‘Apprentice.’ But now that is over with Trump. They wanted to clip it.”

Ratings for the pageant have bumped up and down from a high of 8.1 million viewers in 2005 to a low of 4.6 million in 2013. Similarly Miss Universe attracted a high of 9.2 million in 2005 to a low of 3.8 million in 2013.

Furthermore, we’re told the tourism body behind the host city Baton Rouge, LA – which has been heavily promoting the pageant and has invested a great deal of money in the event – is now “trying to salvage the millions they had tied up.”

"Due to recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its relationship with Mr. Trump," NBC said in the statement.

NBC said it is dropping Trump's Miss USA and Miss Universe beauty pageants, and indicated that Trump will no longer host "The Apprentice."

The decision comes after Trump doubled-down on statements in his presidential announcement speech describing Mexican immigrants as rapists and drug runners.

NEW YORK (AP) — Donald Trump's fledgling GOP presidential bid quickly led to business fallout for him, with Univision saying it will drop the Miss USA pageant from its UniMas network and cut all ties with Trump over comments on Mexican immigrants.
The company said Thursday it was canceling its Spanish-language coverage of the pageant July 12. It also has severed its business relationship with the Miss Universe Organization, which produces the Miss USA pageant, because of what it called "insulting remarks about Mexican immigrants" by Trump, a part owner of Miss Universe.
NBC remained silent about its scheduled coverage of the pageant, which has aired on the network since 2003. But it sought to distance itself from Trump's remarks.
"Donald Trump's opinions do not represent those of NBC, and we do not agree with his positions on a number of issues, including his recent comments on immigration," NBC said in a statement.
Trump is featured on another NBC program, "Celebrity Apprentice."
In an interview Thursday, Trump said his criticism was directed against U.S. policymakers, not the Mexican people or government, adding that Univision would be defaulting on its contract if it doesn't air the pageant and he would take legal action.
"At Univision, we see firsthand the work ethic, love for family, strong religious values and the important role Mexican immigrants and Mexican-Americans have had and will continue to have in building the future of our country," said the New York-based Univision Communications Inc.
Trump said Univision is submitting to pressure from Mexican leaders to punish him for positions he voices as a candidate on the campaign trail.
"They don't want me saying that Mexico is killing the United States in trade and killing the United States at the border," Trump said. "Univision is totally laying down for the Mexican government. ... They want to silence Donald Trump. And Donald Trump can't be silenced. ... I have great respect for Mexico and I love the Mexican people, but my loyalty is to the United States."
Univision declined to comment on Trump's remarks. It also has the rights to air the Miss Universe pageant.
In an interview scheduled to air Sunday on Telemundo's "Enfoque con José Díaz-Balart," Trump said that "many bad people are coming in" from Mexico and elsewhere.
"You're going to have terrorists coming through the southern border. There's no question about it," he said.
The host challenged Trump, contending there has been no act of terrorism committed by someone crossing the U.S.-Mexico border.
"You don't know that," Trump replied, adding later: "See what happens tomorrow. See what happens in two weeks from now. ... I'm not even talking about terrorists from this region. I'm talking about from the Middle East they can come in. The border is totally open."
In severing her ties with the show, Puerto Rican actress Roselyn Sanchez, one of the two co-hosts, cited Trump's comments about immigrants.
"Since I heard Trump's speech, as a Latina I felt a lump in my stomach. 'It's got to be a joke,' I thought," the star of the Lifetime series "Devious Maids" told The Associated Press.
Also on Thursday, Chilean actor-producer Cristian de la Fuente, the show's other co-host, had strong words for Trump: "It's a shame that such an important institution as Miss USA is now in the hands of a clown."
Singer-songwriter Ricky Martin also took to Twitter to blast Trump.
"A lot of hatred and ignorance in his heart," he tweeted.
Miss California USA Natasha Martinez was asked about Trump's comments during an interview Thursday on Los Angeles TV station KCAL and said they were "a little bit tough to hear."
"But I know that this opportunity for me as Miss California-USA, and now competing for Miss USA, is a great bridge to kind of represent my community and let the world know that I am a proud Latino-American," she said.
This year's UniMas telecast would have been the first in a five-year contract that Trump said "has no termination rights." Univision's wholly owned Spanish-language UniMas network, founded in 2013, is available in 70 million U.S. homes.

I would love to know what everyone's opinion of last nights Miss Universe Pageant was. I was incredibly disappointed in the pageant. First thing was why did it have to be 3 hours long. They could have easily condensed it down to 2 hours. The hosts were actually pretty good. Im glad that they went back to announcing the winners of photogenic, national costume and congeniality award winners during the pageant. The judging panel was HORRIBLE!!!!. The judges asking questions, the contestants unable to understand the judges. Most of the judges athletes....Get more diversity in the judging panel. Former titleholders etc. I thought the entertainment Prince Ponce was incredibly offensive by grabbing his crotch and this was TV PG rated programming. Gavin Degraw was a good choice and Nick Jonas was okay. I wish they would have gone back to music like back in the 90s and early 2000s. I Remember KC and Jo Jo in 1998 and the music in 1999 and 2000. They need to go back to the books and remember what was classic and regal. I can't believe how ugly the new Miss Universe Crown is. It looks so cheap. They need to go back to either the Mikimoto crown or even the Diamond Nexus crown but the best crown was the crown from the 80s and 90s. I believe that Jamaica should have placed higher than 4th. She had the spunk that Miss Tennessee USA 1999 had and I remember how disappointed I was when she was 1st runner up at Miss USA. I thought she should have won. Glad Miss Venezuela didn't win again. I cant believe Miss Ukraine and Miss Netherlands made it as far as they didn't. I didn't feel that they answered their questions as well as Jamaica, USA or Colombia. I thought Jamaica, USA and Colombia should have been the top 3. I did have Colombia and USA as my top 2. Jamaica should have at least been 2nd runner up. I wish they would go back to showing the scores on the screen even if it is just the average score. It would make the pageant more transparent. Rather than people thinking the pageant is rigged. I also wish they would go back to showing the preliminary scores but that would defeat the purpose seeing as how the Miss Universe organization feels they should have a say in who should be in the top 15 instead of leaving it up the panel of judges. Why bother having preliminary judges. Just let the Miss Universe Organization pick the Top 15. I used to be a big fan of these pageants but now after this Im just appalled. First Miss Teen USA gets dropped from TV and now Miss Universe going down hill and Im sure Miss USA wont be far behind. I would love to write a letter to the Miss Universe Organization but I doubt nothing would come of it. Ehh Another year and another disappointing telecast. Congratulations though to Miss Colombia and to Miss USA you both did well.

Just a note to inform all---watch today's Thursday episode of the nationally syndicated tabloid/news program "Inside Edition".

They are promoting an interesting segment devoted to pageants...watch today, check local listings, and in some places the 30-minute show airs twice in your local area, even early into the morning hours. Again, Inside Edition, which is hosted by former Georgia's Junior Miss, Deborah Norville, will have a Miss Universe pageant preview segment.

I was wondering my the Miss Kentucky USA website has not been updated for 2 years, it seems odd with the new pageant "2015" in just a week. I get no respond from state director 'CONNIE" at one time years ago, they "Miss Kentucky USA " that the Miss Universe Org was in charged of that. Miss Universe Org said that is not so. All other state web sites are up to date. Why doesn"t the Miss Universe Org look into things like this, just wondering, just shows my state has a bad director.
