*According to IMDB, Mark's birth name was 'Joseph A. Evans' and he was born on December 3, 1934. The obituary copied below notes that Evans died on September 19, 2022, aged 88.

Obituary:

Joseph A. Evans, known affectionately as "Uncle Joe," passed away on September 19, 2022, at the age of 88 in Auburn, CA. Born on December 3, 1934, in Miami, FL, he was a cherished member of the Evans and Mays families, and his warmth and generosity touched many lives.

Joseph served honorably in the United States Navy (USN) from 1957 to 1959, a period during which he dedicated himself to serving his country with distinction. Following his military service, Joseph embarked on a diverse career. He was a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild and appeared on Broadway and in various movies and TV shows. Beyond his acting career, he was a successful businessman, managing property, including the "Harper House" and several restaurants in West Hollywood for over six decades.

He graduated from the University of Florida, which set the stage for his diverse pursuits in both the arts and business sectors. Joseph's biggest hobby was helping those in need, a testament to his kind and generous spirit. His family was always his top priority, and this guiding principle was evident in every aspect of his life.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Evans; siblings, Betty Evans Mays, (Mal Mays), Jackie Evans (Fay Jordan Evans); and niece, Jan Mays. He is survived by his nephew, David Mays; David's wife, Noelle Mays; nieces, Linda Evans, Julia Mays, and Debbie Mays Phillips; and many great-nieces and nephews, including Adam Mays.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal services (NoHum). Joseph's legacy of kindness, humility, and generosity will continue to inspire those who knew him. His life was a testament to the power of family love and community service, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
