Barbara Wesley Campbell Ramsey
October 31, 1925 - October 1, 2023

Feisty, fiercely independent, consistently positive and steadfastly committed to her family, Barbara Ramsey lead a life well-lived and died peacefully in her sleep just shy of her 98th birthday.

Born to Victor & Helen Wesley in 1925 in Los Angeles, she grew up loved among family and friends. Her parents exposed her to numerous activities, travels & experiences and helped form a love of adventure that carried her through life.

Barbara married Allen T. Campbell in 1947 upon his return from WW2, and both graduated from the University of Southern California. Together they raised 4 children, and in 1965 moved to their permanent home in Newport Beach, California. Living at the beach, she enjoyed sailing, fishing, beachcombing, tennis and all things outdoors.

After Allen’s death in 1980, Barbara remarried L. Paul Ramsey in 1987. Together with Paul’s 4 adult children, they merged the two families into a family that today includes a total of 41 children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. They enjoyed family, friends and travel until Paul’s passing in 2000.

Barb moved to Bend, Oregon in 2006 to start her next adventure and be near several of her children. Barb her new home, friends, family and her time in the mountains. Rain, snow, sun…. every day was a joy and she shared that opinion often.

Barb is survived by her children Linda Campbell Callaway, Mark Campbell, Debbie Amerongen and Matt Campbell, as well as Larry Ramsey, Chris Ramsey & Anne Morgan. Fondly known as GB to her grandkids she is survived by Sara Odendahl, Wesley Kidder, Kristi Chrostek, Hallie Campbell, Robbyn Campbell, Ryan Amerongen & Allyn Amerongen , as well as Keith Ramsey, Katie Dewey, Allison Williams, Julie Gorman, Mathew Morgan, Mary Ramsey, Sarah Morgan, Luke Ramsey, Paige Ramsey, Tim Ramsey, and Shea Ramsey. As GGB, she took great joy in her great-grandchildren Ava & Alexa Odendahl, Quinn & Andie Amerongen, Everett Chrostek, Bodhi Ramsey, Clair Dewey, Zephyr Williams, Dane Ramsey, Hannah Dewey, Jonathan Gorman, Avalon Ramsey, Nic Morgan, Maren Williams, Fiona Gorman and Ennio Ramsey.
