I loved walking around Poplar Forest with you - I only wish we'd have been able to get inside. What a neat thing to have such an historical landmark right around the corner in the middle of a residential area... it's almost like Great Britain, and about the closest thing we have here in America to ancient civilized historical places.

Oh..! I just found that book you sent me on Monticello. It's sitting in my parlour on the floor, leaning up against the leg of my highback antique chair... you know, the one I found in the snowbank alongside the freeway this winter. Didf I tell you about that...?
