Subject: Do Service records exist for the Black Watch in the 1880's

I am trying to locate info about a James Logan who was a private in the 42nd Royal Highland Regiment of Foot Soldiers in 1881. In the 1881 Census they were located at Aldershot, Hampshire, England.

Any thougst where I might find any records ?
