The sun’s light faded to a rosy pink and then developed into shadowed shades of purple and blue and finally losing all color, night swept the sky. No wind carried the perfume of the silventeen temptress as she picked her way through the layers of yellowed grass. And only the slight tempo of her hoofbeats gave her away at all. Charred locks swept over her hollowed cheeks as a faint breeze managed to lift them away from her façade for only a moment. She paused, lipid green eyes searching for the mahogany statuette, spotting him a few yards away apparently pacing back and forth. Having no idea she was the cause for his frenzied pace she quickly surged forward a smirk settling itself with familiar ease upon her mouth. His parting words had caused a twisted joy within her bosom. For there was no love lost between mother and daughter. And anything that was an irritation to the red mare, delighted her pewter progeny. “Warsaw, you must impart your wisdom on how you’ve annoyed my mother enough to try to kick you out of the ‘Greens. Even I haven’t pushed her that far, it’s a miracle for sure.” Oh oblivious maiden. She hadn’t the faintest idea of what thoughts ran through the stallion’s mind or his feelings towards her. No, she was only thrilled to find someone who annoyed her dear ol’ mum as much as she did. She had been a bit too young to know anything about Dog Soldier, only that the name left a bitter taste in Firelight’s mouth. Nor was she aware that the only grudge her mother held against Warsaw, was being said annoyances son. Poor Fiore, so out of the loop. F I O R E guardian, heir adrian to power x firelight |
