Hi Rick,
I would like to comment about your asking message what has happened in our schools or maybe we witnessed something or done something of a so call, "bullying" or "act of " to a student or how about a teacher?
I would say at least a few time I have "bullied" a few other students, that was in grade school and Middle School. I was pressured to take each kid on or I would look like woose in front of my friends IF I didn't take them on to try to win a fight, all because I was told I was better then the other guy or I shouldn't take s--t from them if they were trying to bully me.
At the time I thought it was right, but soon found out it wasn't when me and the other kids were hauled into the office, a call home about the fighting and the principal would be paddling my ass, and I knew my ass would get a repeat performance when I got home. Of course the principal paddled with jeans on, but I knew my ass would be bare when I met my dad. He never disappointed me in not giving me the sorest ass paddlings of others I earned for fighting and bullying!
What didn't help was other guys "cheering me on" to kick ass, and I knew I didn't want to be the loser, so I did, not realizing that I could really hurt the other kids or they me and could end up in hospital ER's or have to have operations for injuries. I was lucky none of the two places earned a visit by me or my oponients, just a visit to the nurses office for wound cleaning and bandaids.
A time I remember that me and a few other kids "got to a teacher" to pressure them to feel "scared" and caused them to resign by the end of the school year. Don't know if they required therapy or not, but gave a female art teacher to thinking she wasn't a good teacher thoughts, etc. School officials never found out, the teacher never told on us, had she I bet we would have had detention for the rest of the semester, after getting sore asses in the principal office and from our dads'.
The worse in HS is a taking a cig lighter recently and burning another 's nose, who now will require plastic surgery and therapy. The girk who did it admitted she was on , but nobody knew it at school by fellow students and school personel!
