Colton Rood, the son of 90s wrestling superstar "Ravishing" Rick Rude, died when he crashed into a car which was trying turn into a driveway.

The 19-year-old basketball player died at the scene when his Yamaha 950 hit the Toyota Camry in Rome, Georgia, in the US.

The teen was described by his family as "a free spirit".

They said: "He loved all people he encountered. His warm smile could light up a room".

Colton was just a 10 minute ride from his home when he was killed.

His father was a former WWE Intercontinental Champion and a three-time WCW International World Heavyweight Champion.

Rude co-founded famed wrestling faction D-Generation X and is regarded as one of the best wrestling villains of all time.

Dubbed "The Ravishing One", Rude died aged 40 of heart failure in 1999 when Colton was just a toddler.
