Beauty at the cost of manners? Around the world

I have watched this show once and awhile, and the episode I saw tonight with a little girl Brenna stopped me in my tracks. She is not the first chid I have seen act out. But it was her attitude and how ugly it made her look. I am so tired of parents saying they have breakdowns or they are tired. No those kids are spoiled and it does nothing for them at all. To disrespect not just the parents, but other adults as well. Beauty means act up in public, its ok to run all over the place tearing things up, act like a grown adult? No, not now and not ever.

I too had a child in pageants and acting, and she absolutely did not act that way, at home or in public period. I don't care what she looks like she is my own and if she acted the way Brenna and some of the others acted, there would be no pageant or anything else until she learned to respect, her parents, respect others, respect the craft, and make sure her actions don't make her be viewed as ugly. Brenna's Mom justified her bad behavior as that is her personality. Yeah, that is the point, it sucks. How she can sit there thinking it is OK for her to act that way blows me away. The parents are in denial because they are living thru their children. Some are not attractive so to have a beautiful child it seems to me they use that as their time to be the popular one they were not growing up. Maybe not, but that is how it appears. And they all say, beauty is what counts, bottom line if your ugly you are no one. Their children are picking that up as what a pageant is, a badge to act as you please, to be rude and obnoxious, act like adults and throw tantrums to get what you want. They are children and no matter what they look like they need rules and structure. I saw one dad actually said on camera a lot of the Moms are fat, though I would not have said it is true because unless your blind they are. But they see themselves as their children, they are adults you missed out on it. You cannot and should not live through your children at the cost of raising brats.

I wonder how many of the ones who stopped are grew out of it then got on the parents nerves because now they have to live with the monsters they created. Unreal.
