Subject: Another woes of a singapore man marrying a vietnam bride

In another popular forum, a man wrote to seek some advice:
"My cousin married a vietnam wife in march 2012.
After 3 months, she went back vietnam and never came back since,amidst occasionally some overseas phone calls to my cousin asking for money only.
They have consumated their marriage already.(meaning have sex already).
My cousin send her total 2k in 4 times and she still did not come back.he cannot take it anymore today and went to see a lawyer to apply for divorce. guess what the lawyer told him?

" This is LAW. you cannot divorce her untill after 4 YEARS. THIS is LAW.
you have a responsibility towards her upon marrying her"

My cousin was shocked and devastated!!!! because he have another vietnam girl waiting for him to marry him. all the hopes of a second marriage is dash! just because of his responsibility towards a gold digger cum disappearer!!!

Any experience bros please help my cousin as we are all singaporeans!!!!!"

Well another typical case of people who just go for easy shortcut way to end bachelorhood. And most often, is waste of money and time and failed miserably! The person who wrote to the forum also claim that money is not a problem but when his cousin transfer $8000 x 2 = $16000 to his vietnam beide, he cannot take it anymore and quickly wanted out of the marriage. Irregardless of how pretty the vietman bride, is the guy who is in the losing end when the bride runs away. Not to forget the cousin has to clean the shit left behind such as going to lawyer to end the marriage since they already signed the marriage certificate! What a mess!
It is also alarming and sick that when someone who is still single and say 40+, almost all if not all will suggest to get vietnam bride as a quick and easy solution. Remember, those who suggested that will quickly hide when the marriage fail and they are not going to foot a single cent to help, is the poor guy who has done nothing wrong but get a heartbreak and foot the bill.
The 'honeymoon' period can varies, so justify yourself the money paid and the time together. It is just not worth it. Possibly the one who suggested that should pay for everything including the wedding ceremony and dinner and lawyer fee should the vietnam bride ran away!

Note:- This story is real but not publish in any local newspaper. Thus many people still has a wrong mindset of marrying vietnam bride. Hope their brain can grow a bit bigger to think of the consequences.
