Subject: Jaf's Weekend Adventure

This past weekend I took an unexpected trip to South Carolina from Pennsylvania to go to a race that my brother was competing in. We left Friday night and returned on Sunday, after traveling 1,028 miles (1,651 km) round-trip. The drive was 8-1/2 hours one-way. Jaf and Azaan did very well. Azaan has already traveled these type of distances, but this was the furthest for Jaf. Both of them slept in the van the entire trip. A little bit of Azaan is rubbing off on Jaf! She has always been a really good traveler, knowing to lay down and chill even on short trips.

At the race, Jaf got to meet many new people and see lots of activity. Nothing phased him! There were cars pulling in and out all over the place, people on bicycles, skateboards, scooters, people walking by, dogs, cars firing up and zooming by, etc.

Meeting people:

It was very hot this past weekend, so the dogs chose to sleep in the shade under my brother's big truck.

Catching 40 winks next to the cooler:

On our way back on Sunday, we stopped at Jefferson National Forest in West Virginia so that the dogs could stretch their legs and take a potty break. This was Jaf's first opportunity to walk through a creek, and he didn't hesitate! He also took the opportunity to explore the foot bridge and walk across it. He is one bold little puppy!
