I had a Great Dane that got skunked twice. He didn't learn, nor did he care. For me, it was a different story. I remember that tomato juice did not work. Here is the recipe that you are supposed to mix together that is supposed to work. You will probably want to double the recipe for a large dog since this one is for a small to medium sized dog:

1 Qt 3% hydrogen peroxide
1/4 cup baking soda
1 tsp. liquid soap

Mix this together. Wet the dog down and then bathe him with this mixture. Rinse. It supposedly kills the odor on contact.
