I know what you mean about the achieving consistency. It looks like the Ysterberg dog are all over the place. In fact a buddy of mine recently visited there and he said they had all types tall, wide, long hound head, huge round head, reds, browns, pies ect. He even got to take pictures with Penny's mom. He said she was long and straight in the face. It wasn't suprising to me though.

In my first litter from Penny I had slighly some consistency but still the pups had more variety than what I saw in my breeding between Greit and Pluto. The one good thing about the variety though is you can select for and match traits that you are looking for.

Right now I am taking the my wide heavy dogs from Greit and breeding them to the taller leaner dogs from penny. Diamond is a sharp and hard dog with stong prey and ball drive I bred her to Congo who is more reserved and relaxed yet still watchful and alert. Then I took Moe who is like Congo to Remy who is like Diamond.

I'm hoping to get a balanced blend of character and conformation.

Its funny that you said even though everybody like her she is not the most correct. Reminds me of Deathroll who I thought would score higher than Moe or at least close. But His head was to round big and nose was not deep and didn't blend to the head. He has an awesome front but his rear killed him as he lacked muscle and had sloppy movement. Everybody loves him though as his whole front end is huge thick and wide. He was blown away by Moe who is not as big but far better muscling structure and movement. Moe head though not as big is much more what the Sabt is looking for in the boerboel. Deathroll was too much like the Bullmastiff.

I want you to see this dog I have Spitsvuur Tambooer. your gonna be suprised.
