The dog in question is 4 years old. This is the bb I had to amputate the leg. The cancer was in his shoulder. This is the shoulder that was repaired due to an injury when he was very young. On rare occasions the metal in the repairs can trigger cancer. The xrays do not show cancer on any other part of his body. He is like a new dog, very hungry and jumping and playing like crazy. So, his age and the cancer relationship is hard to judge becuase I had a lot of metal put in that shoulder. There is a chance he is good to go for a long and healthy life. I am hoping for that at this point.
